you will be comparing two short stories in terms of a single theme. I suggest taking the short story that you worked on for your first essay and comparing it to another short story. The whole of the essay should call attention to its similarities in its treatment of a theme (dialogue, language), but more importantly, it should call attention the key difference that makes the two stories unique in terms of this theme. I want you to compare the short stories Bloodchild by Octavia Butler and Recitatif by Toni Morrison in terms of one theme.
