This semester project encompasses the mid-term and final projects, submitted in several parts, but based on the same project management topic as described below:
A group of 60 surgeons in suburban central New Jersey have decided to build, own, and utilize a free-standing Outpatient Surgicenter. It is to be fully independent (not affiliated with either of the 2 medium-sized hospitals that are within a 20-mile radius). Currently, there are no Surgicenters within this 20-mile radius. Its planned hours are 8 am to 4 pm, 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).
You have been hired as the Healthcare Project Leader/Manager. Your goal is to complete the project in a way that fulfills the goals of the internal and external stakeholders; including your project sponsors, facility executives, patients, government entities and the like.
